The Australian Alternative Sino-Queer Collective (AASC) is a volunteer-based NGO dedicated to building spaces of care, creativity, and solidarity for Chinese-speaking queer communities.

Born from grassroots research and activism, our collective works to challenge invisibility by amplifying Sino-queer voices through arts, research, and advocacy.

We aim to cultivate transnational connections, foster community-led projects, and reimagine futures where queerness is celebrated rather than marginalised.

Like the mycelium we take inspiration from, our strength lies in underground networks of support that nurture resilience, joy, and collective growth.

Community

Connect Sino-queer communities through networks of mutual support and shared values.

Care

Nurture safe, affirming spaces where collective well-being is prioritised.

Research

Generate and share knowledge that centres Sino-queer voices and lived realities.

Advocacy

Amplify our communities’ demands for visibility, justice, and systemic change.
